Safe fuel lines

Evonik sees enormous potential in the use of CNT-modified materials, especially in electronics and automotive engineering. It already produces molding compounds containing CNTs for fuel lines.

This is an advantage because the CNT-modified materials prevent inflammable substances being ignited by electrostatic charges. Evonik uses this property in the manufacture of conductive multi-layer tubes, with extremely high-quality internal surfaces that meet the US automotive industry's stringent standards for protecting fuel from electric charges.
