Good advice for customers

For more than twenty years, experts from Evonik's Inorganic Materials Business Unit have been advising customers on safe and effective handling of fine particles. They provide advice on storing and handling silica, the best way of transporting it within facilities to the place of use and safe dosing.

With suitable process technology and filters even extremely finely dispersed substances can be handled with virtually no exposure to dust. That keeps the levels of particulates in the workplace well below the permitted levels.

Evonik's experts combine product expertise with knowledge of process-related aspects, making them a key link between plant engineers and machinery manufacturers and the customers that process the products. Technologies to improve the handling of such substances are developed and tested in a special 200 m² facility in Hanau-Wolfgang in Germany. This facility is also used to demonstrate the efficiency of these technologies to customers.
